John Carberry, CFP®, CRPC®

John Carberry has been affiliated with Ameritas for sixteen years.  He works with prospective and existing clients, gathering and assembling the financial data necessary for the creation of financial strategies.  John is also responsible for the monitoring of client investment portfolios.  This includes the implementation of financial products, asset modeling, review meetings, and ongoing client dialogue and communications regarding their investment portfolios and insurance needs.

His credentials include obtaining the Series 7 and Series 66 securities registrations and Pennsylvania insurance license, as well as securities registrations and insurance licenses in a number of Mid-Atlantic and Mid-West states.   He is a FINRA Registered Representative and an Investment Advisor Representative for the Ameritas Investment Corporation, member FINRA, SIPC; a national independent broker/dealer.  John is also a licensed Life, Accident and Health Insurance representative.  In 2008, John obtained his CRPC® (Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor) Certification from the College of Financial Planning. 

John became a CFP® practitioner or Certified Financial Planner™ practitioner in 2010 based on his successful completion of the education and examination requirements of the CFP Board.

In addition to individual planning, John also has broad experience working with employee benefits programs.  He works with businesses and organizations in various stages of maturity, ranging in size from six to over 250 employees, servicing retirement plans including 401(k)s, Simple IRAs, and 403(b)s as well as appropriate Life Insurance and income protection (Disability Income Insurance) programs.

John has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Allegheny College.
